Daily Life in the Ghettos

2025 08 05

Join the tour in the Holocaust Exposition that explores the full scope of life in the ghettos. You’ll hear about the severe rules and restrictions that made daily life unbearable: curfews, food rationing, forced labor, and the constant threat of deportation. You’ll gain insight into how families managed to life under conditions that were anything but normal. We’ll also examine different ways in which people tried to hide, escape, or prepare for the worst. But this is also a story of resistance: spiritual resistance through keeping the tradition, educational resistance through secret lessons all captured by the photographs of Hirsh Kadushin, a true witness of his time.

Date: 10th of August
