Join us for a special tour exploring the first days of the Holocaust in Vilnius after the Nazi invasion in June1941. Together, we will discuss how life changed almost overnight through new laws, forced markings, restrictions, and the creation of the Vilna Ghetto, where thousands of Jewish residents were confined. The tour will also focus on Ponary Forest, the execution site near Vilnius, where tens of thousands of Jews in particular from the Vilnius Ghetto were murdered. Through personal stories and historical events, we will examine the systematic process used to isolate, dehumanize, and erase families, communities, and entire nations. This tour offers a deeper understanding of how quickly persecution turned into mass murder and how these events shaped the history of Vilnius and the rest of the country.
