Guided Tour "Inside the Model: Art, Memory, and the Diary of Itzchak Rudashevski

Join us for a special tour dedicated to Itzchak Rudashevski and a unique artistic project inspired by his diaries, written between 1941 and 1943. During the tour, we will explore the brutal living conditions of the Vilna Ghetto through a detailed model of a typical apartment in the Ghetto, based directly on Rudashevski’s descriptions. The project was created by Lithuanian artist Unė Kormilcevaitė as part of her Bachelor’s thesis at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Alongside the apartment model, reconstructed the original floor plan of the apartment and she recreated the streets of the ghetto as described in the diaries. Join us to learn more about everyday life in the ghetto and experience this powerful interpretation of Itzchak Rudashevski’s story.
