On July 19, officers from Israel Defense Forces (IDF) visited Museum’s Holocaust Exposition and Paneriai Memorial. Neringa Latvytė-Gustaitienė, the head of the Holocaust Exposition, introduced its concept, main topics and activities as well as international cooperation to the guests. Complicated issues, such as challenges and difficulties in daily work were discussed along with opportunities for future cooperation. The guests informed about the plans to established a Holocaust History Museum under the supervision of the IDF. They were interested to hear what kind of visitors come to the Holocaust Exposition. The officers also had a meeting with Holocaust survivor, Vilna Ghetto inmate and partisan Fania Brancovskaja.
The guests presented a Letter of Appreciation and informed that a tree was planted in Jerusalem hills in honour of the Holocaust Exposition (also known as "The Green House"). We sincerely thank the IDF team for such a kind gesture and wish them a meaningful service!
