Executive Director of YIVO Institute for Jewish Research Dr. Jonathan Brent, accompanied by the team members, paid a visit to the Vilna Gaon Museum of Jewish History. They’ve met with the Director of the Vilna Gaon Museum of Jewish History dr Kamilė Rupeikaitė, Head of the Museum and Culture and Identity of Lithuanian Jews Saulė Valiūnaitė and Head of the Samuel Bak Museum Ieva Šadzevičienė. The possibilities of the future cooperation and the plans to commemorate the centenary of YIVO‘s establishment in Vilnius in 2025 were discussed during this meeting.
