We would like to invite visitors to use the last opportunity to see the exhibition dedicated to the year of Vilna Gaon and Lithuanian Jewish history - "Books Do Not Grow on Trees: Saving and Transmitting Memory", which closes on Sunday.
"In this exhibition, we present to the visitors the unique exhibits of the Judaica collection of the Vilna Gaon Museum of Jewish History, not as individual static objects, but by revealing the circumstances and reasons behind their creation, rescue and preservation. The exhibits themselves become participants, witnesses and narrators of different historical peripeteias, so this exhibition is a look at a full-fledged and very significant part of Lithuanian history and culture," say the curators of the exhibition, historians dr. S. Stasiulis, R. Anulytė and S. Valiūnaitė.
