Description:
This guided tour offers an introduction to one of the most tragic and complex chapters in Lithuania’s history—the German occupation and the catastrophe it brought upon the Jewish population. Visitors will learn about the restrictions imposed on Jews, the establishment of ghettos, mass executions, and other key events.

The tour takes place at the Holocaust Exhibition of the Vilna Gaon Museum of Jewish History, opened in 1991 as the first permanent exhibition on the Holocaust not only in Lithuania, but in the entire Baltic region. Survivors of the German occupation contributed to its creation.

History of the Paneriai Memorial

Description:
This tour takes place in an authentic historical setting that bears witness to the atrocities committed during the German occupation. Participants will explore both the genocidal policies implemented in Lithuania and the development of remembrance culture at the Paneriai Memorial. After the tour, visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the Memorial’s Information Center.
