The opening of the exhibition "Franz Kafka" and screening of the movie "America" (1994) – a free adaptation of the unfinished Kafka’s novel took place at the Tolerance Center of the Vilnius Gaon State Jewish Museum on 21 November 2013. Mr. Radek Pech, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Lithuania, present the exhibition and the movie, thanking for the long term cooperation with the Museum. Mr. Markas Zingeris, Director of the Vilna Gaon State Jewish Museum, greeted the audience, marking unique Franz Kafka’s (1883-1924) input into world’s literature. The exhibition about Franz Kafka, born into German speaking Jewish family in Prague, was on the display at the Tolerance Center until the 21st of January, 2014.
