Wonderful collection of material to remember the "Jerusalem of Lithuania" that once was, and the new vibrant Jewish community. I have been privileged to visit the museum in 1999 and again in 2006 and to have had a small part in several museum publications ... I'm hoping to resume contact with some of the dedicated staff of workers ...

we had a brilliant introduction to the Judaica-collection and the history of the museum on July 30 this year We have been deeply impressed about the richness of the exhibits as was as about the excellent presentation.
gratefully yours

I am looking for any information about what happened to my grandmother Fruma (Fani) Kendzierska who disappeared without trace from Vilna in 1941

Gracias!

I'm so pleased to see the Museum is still doing its wonderful job of sharing Vilna's Jewish history. I've been fortunate to visit twice (1999 and 2006) and had some input on a few publications ... it's been too long since my last visit and I miss the friends I made as well as the feeling of holding a part of the past that is no more. Wishing you much success in your continued endeavors!

how wonderful to see that you are determined to keep memory alive,my grandfather's family perished in the Shoah and it always upset him that there was nothing to show they had ever lived...keep on the good work

Perhaps a comparison model of the full artifacts, documents and so on, alongside what is left today to see the huge loss for people visiting. Small models can show what would be here if it was not destroyed and sense the vast loss of heritage.

Shalom, The Vilna Gaon Jewish State Museum has history and culture of my family in many generations. Vilna synagogue membership has been in my familyline during generations. Vilna synagogue interior has been done by us in last centuries too. Vilna Jewish community membership of ours from history and culture has been in exile in Karelia, Finland. Best regards, Meriam Ronimus Helsinki ronimus.m@gmail.com
