Presentation of the book “The Light of Jerusalem. A Story of Faithfulness” by Michaël de Saint-Cheron

On the 11th of April, 2011, on the initiative of the French Cultural Center the book by Michaël de Saint-Cheron The Light of Jerusalem. A Story of Faithfulness” (Malraux et les Juifs, Histoire d'une fidélité), translated to the Lithuanian language, was presented in the Tolerance Center.

Author of the book, former president of the international association Amitiés internationales André Malraux and a professor at the Jewish Studies Institute Élie Wiesel (Paris), Michaël de Saint-Cheron has been studying contemporary Jewish philosophy for twenty-five years. He has came to Vilnius to introduce his book in Lithuanian, which can be considered the first critical study of links between Malraux and Judaism.

The Ambassador of the French Republic to Lithuania Francois Laumonier, the Director of the French Cultural Center Pascal Hanse, French Cultural Attaché Audelin Chappuis and other prominent guests participated in the presentation.
