„Hatikva“ concert, presented by the Italian Associazione Shalom in the Tolerance Center

On the 4th of March, 2010, the Tolerance Center of the Vilna Gaon State Jewish Museum had hosted the concert „Hatikva“, presented by the „Shalom“ association from Italy. The program of the concert was prepared by the association „Shalom‘‘ presenting the projects of the Jewish culture and working on the dialogues between cultures. Organizators of the event – Instituto Italiano di Cultura in Vilnius.

The concert took it‘s name from Amit Arieli‘s new CD project dedicated to the Jewish music from the Italian Diaspora. Traditional Jewish tunes alternate with original compositions inspired by the Yiddish world and klezmer, leading the audience through the magic atmosphere of a lost world.

Three musicians participated in this concert: Amit Arieli (clarinet), Braulio Vidile (accordion) and Dayana Gnarra (voice and darbouka).

Concert „Hatikva“ was presented to the audience by the Director of the Italian Cultural Center Dr. Stefania Del Bravo.
